David Granados is a Colombian-American model, actor and content creator based in New York City. He’s held roles on Saturday Night Live (as the first Latino guest star under the age of 30), Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, independent films, and several series on HBO and Netflix. He’s also modeled for high fashion brands including Versace, Emporio Armani, Calvin Klein, Saks, Nike, among others.
David is an activist and supporter for anti-bullying initiatives like NoH8. In doing his work, David seeks to elevate the Latino community where representation could be improved.
This passion to elevate talent like himself stems from his own family and early childhood. His mother is a Colombian-Italian designer who instilled a sense of fashion into David at an early age. His father, an entrepreneur, established the discipline and tenacity that David presents in his work and lifestyle. And his sister, a model, ballet and tap dancer, shares David’s passion for acting.
Though David graduated university with a degree in Industrial Engineering, he also took acting and dance classes with the support of his mother and sister, unbeknownst to his father. He sought to carry this unique experience and talent with him to America.
David moved to New York City in 2015 and was scouted by a modeling agency. He leveraged that opportunity to own his unique look, style and presence within the NYC fashion community. He also took screenwriting classes at NYU, where he nurtured his skill in powerful and meaningful storytelling. He channeled this skillset to begin lifting people of Latino heritage and underrepresented communities up in the film, television and fashion industries.
